If you've got an earlier version of Quicken that works for you, do not upgrade to this version! The bugs in this software will eat your time away and give you nothing in return.
Not really compatible with Windows 7 February 26, 2010

I purchased this product to upgrade from Quicken Home & Business 2004. I have a laptop running under Windows 7.
After installing, whenever I started the program, a window would appear from the Win7 "User Account Control" which says: "Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer?". I click yes and the program opens. Every time you open the program this window appears.
Changing compatibility modes in Win 7 made no difference. I also adjusted notification levels in User Account Control Setting. The only way to get rid of the message at startup was to turn all notifications off, which leaves your system vulnerable to attack.
I then contacted Quicken support, and after a few calls and many uninstall/Install attempts, I was told you needed to create a NEW administration account and run Quicken from there. I tried that, and yes, it will run from the new Admin account without the User Account Control window popping up. From ANY OTHER ACCOUNT though, the window still appears.
I did not buy Quicken to have to jump from account to account to run it. I know this may be a minor annoyance to some, but I figure the good folks at Intuit would put enough care into their product to make the 2010 version truly compatible with Windows 7. Apparently not.
I returned the software yesterday and will wait until the 2011 product ships.

I recently purchased Quicken 2010 Home & Office and it was the worst mistake!!! I wish that I had searched the internet for more than where to find the software and I would have seen the horrible complaints about the lack of customer service for help. Beware...."IF" you have a problem, help for a solution is HARD to come by. I have spent countless hours and much frustration in search of a solution. Their idea of help is to place you in a "Communtiy" for answers where you discover the countless other searching SOLUTIONS to the same thing that you are seeking; however, there are no solutions to be found......only others searching other software solutions besides Quicken. I purchased in January 2010 and it is mid February and I am still unable to use this software. Let me say that I have been a long time user of Quicken (since 1998) but this purchase was a MISTAKE. You should search out a product with GOOD customer service and Quicken has lost that!!! Now what do you do with the software??? You can't return it.

I have been a Quicken user for over 12 years. I can say without any hesitation this is the worst Quicken release ever.
The performance is very extremely poor. Tasks that would have taken less than a second in Quicken 2008 not take several seconds.
Many of the little features that made life easy are now removed:
idenfitying which of your scheduled bill is auto
You cannot assign a check number to a intra account transfers. Just to name a few.
I would not recommend upgrading to this version at all.
