I love this game. I made my non=game playing friend play it and she couldn't stop, she played 6 games before she finally had to stop and leave. I spend way too much time playing this. Wish I could find another game this much fun. The only thing I wish about this game: the shovel would let you move a plant to another location, not just eliminate the plant.

I wasn't sure if I would get into this game or not (I'm a 41 year old woman, and not a "gamer"). After reading all the great reviews, I decided to try the 1-hour trial. Boy...that one hour sure flew by! I LOVE this game. It really is challenging, and funny too. I keep trying to get to the next level. Sorry I can't write more...I MUST GO KILL THE ZOMBIES NOW!

I played the trial 1 hour version a couple of times and became hooked on the game. I'm glad I finally purchased the game! The game is exciting, fun, and challenging. There are adventure, mini-games, puzzles, and survival levels. The only down side is that the game can be addictive and I end up playing for hours when I should be doing something productive(?). Each new level has something different and there are actual strategies involved with some of the non-adventure levels. The sound effects are cool and add to the fun. I'm completely happy with my purchase.

My kids saw this on their computer, and when the trial was over, they begged me to get the game.
Its good logistics and strategy. Need to implement the right tools, at the right time, and at the right place. A kiddie version of chess.

I'm going to come right out and say that this game is amazing, not just because its so insane (you use plants to fight zombies!), but because of its replay value. How many games have you played that were really good but once you beat it that was that? Well, not with Plants vs Zombies. There are close to 50 mini-games, puzzles and survival modes as well as fun bonuses like a Zen Garden and a Tree of Wisedom that gives you hints and tips with the game.
At $20 you can't go wrong. This is a quirky, fun game that will devour too much time but it will be time well spent. And for the parents out there, there's no gore or blood, though the zombies do drop body parts (arms and heads) when they are damaged.
I'm hoping for a sequel.
