Visually stunning. Smooth gameplay. Similar to Assassin's Creed I, but with enough differences to keep you interested.

Oppressive DRM makes this title from Ubisoft a risky buy, especially if you plan to use it without an internet connection, which it requires to play - for a SINGLE PLAYER GAME! Please don't put up with this crap.

I was satsifyed with my ps2 until I came across assassin's creed 2 on the computer.
It sounded pretty cool, so I got a ps3 for christmas as well as AC2. It was the best descison of my life. I am obsessed with Ac2 and have played it 7 times from the beginning (the gameplay is really long to, when you think it ends, a whole new sequence happens). So check out videos and take my word for it, Ac2 is AWESOME!

I did not play the first Assassin's Creed, but I gave Assassin's Creed II a try after I saw the positive reviews. Definitely a fun game. The main storyline is very engaging and the side missions can be fun. I'm not a "stealth game" fan (e.g. Metal Gear), so it was nice that this game did not force you to be stealthy all of the time. If you are interested in earning trophies, it's fairly fun and easy to get the game's Platinum trophy.

While a great game, the first Assassin's Creed was flawed and repetitive. Assassin's Creed 2 is neither, the missions are fun, story is great, it looks very good. There are no more investigations before assassinations, and the world is very colorful. I recommend this game to anyone that has a next gen console.
