I bought this for my 9 yr old son to use instead of flashcards. I am very happy with the way it is improving his sight recognition of basic multiplication. An added bonus is that his writing of numbers is improving, since the DS needs legible writing to confirm the answers.
There are practice levels that are more advanced for adults. The system is set up to quiz you daily and after the 4th day of high scores,the daily questions are supposed to move up a level.

There are a lot of happy reviews of this game here, but I am still writing because my daughter insisted on it. This is a great math game. Its focus is mostly on old world rigor but many a times that is the way to master addition and multiplication facts. A must buy for all elementary school pupils.

ok so I'm not a Math fan; never was but I bought this game to brush up on my math skills. I never liked math when I was in school but this game is fun and challenging. As some people get older their computation skills slow down. This game is good for brushing up on them. Not everyone can do math in their head and this game is great practice for that. I like it and I'm glad I purchased it.

I got this to help my 9 yr old improve in her math skills. She is advanced in reading but math has been a struggle. This game challenges her and has helped her speed up in her work as well.
 Actual training isn't bad, but approach is juvenile for an adult user March 15, 2009

The idea of basic drilling of math is a good one and the idea of filling out the grid and playing the games is good. What would turn this into a great game rather than a good game is the ability for an adult user to not only include this in their profile, but to also turn off the cartoonish encouragement meant for children. I particularly found the teacher's wobbling face as he 'spoke' annoying. I just wanted to play the games.
