My son absolutely adores this game (and all its predecessors). I was quite surprised to see the number of negative reviews. It is true that our computer has frozen on it a couple of times, but I don't see this as a huge crisis for a game that my son has spent so much time enjoying so thoroughly! It is a very graphics-intensive game, so you should be sure your computer is up for it before getting it. If your computer can handle it, you and your kids will get a blast out of it.

This was crazy. I'm a programmer with 12 yrs of experience behind me, and I cannot figure out how theses guys are able to take a brand new machine, which plays Half-Life2, Fear, and other incredibly resource intensive games, and turn my machine into the slideshow experience my 2nd grade teacher would have been delighted to see. After getting it running, turning it down to its lowest settings, my computer overheated! And yes, I'm fully aware of the hardware requirements. I meet all of them. (ATI video card with 256+ megs of ram, etc.) But still... Half life? I can blast away aliens a million times over, but my computer overheats when the basketball in this game BOUNCES?1?!?! I've played the demo of version 1 and 1.5... And knowing that I have this kick-butt machine, I was willing to skip right to buying the latest version. WRONG. My 8 year old, who loves to diddle with things (without messing up the house too much) would have loved this game, but it was his worst Xmas present, the only one that didn't work AT ALL!
Sorry, but I'm sure I would have loved this game, too. For a game that needs the physics of "Space Invaders", but uses the resources of my nearest electrical power plant, I have to give this 1 star, I'm so sorry to say. Hope you had better luck with this game if you've bought it!

I gave this game to my daughter for Christmas, only to find we could not install & run it on our 6 month old Dell Inspiron 530S. No amount of surfing and investigating solved the problem, and it took Tech Support almost 3 weeks to respond to my e-mail request. When they did reply, the message was simply 'your video chipset is not compatible with this game'.
I read the other reviews first before buying, and it sounded like a great game BUT BEWARE: It may not run on your machine. Buy at your own risk and now I am in search of a replacement gift. My recommendation: get something else with guaranteed results, not this product or anything else from Viva Media.

The worst experience I've had in buying a product through Amazon, and it is the manufacturer's responsibility... and I buy plenty from Amazon.
This product locked up my new computer... that is fine if the CD was defective or if I had a set-up issue, that stuff happens. But 5 calls to tech support line they say to call went to voicemail boxes that were completely FULL... could not leave a message anywhere at the company.
Sent 5 emails to support email address after following all their pinpoint directions from their website... not one email response.
My experiences with Amazon purchases /products are generally very positive so this review comes from someone who would really have to be displeased to a shocking level to take the time to write this... have no idea if the product is good or bad because it did not work... but I can tell the company must be a comedy show as there is no way to reach them, they are obviously just hoping to sell you this and hope you'll just not return it... thoroughly pathetic experience.

I cannot get this to run on my Dell Dimension... The other two Crazy Machines ran fine... My son was so excited to get this for Christmas and has yet to be able to use it. I have sent two emails with my computer details to the company and not response yet... Upgraded my graphics drivers and Direct X as stated on their website...still cannot get past the CM2 "Gears Screen"... Anyone that has any ideas...I would love to hear from you!
