1 out of 5 stars Multi Player Sucks   November 15, 2008

The graphics are better and has some new options such as using a wounded player as a shield. The biggest problem with Gears of war 2 it takes about five minutes to find an online match and you must search for a new match after every match.

3 out of 5 stars overrated   November 14, 2008

I must say I was very disappointed with the campaign mode in GOW 2. The first game was much more fun to play through. There are no Berserkers in GOW 2 and they were a very fun character to play against in the first one. They added a vehicle section but to be honest it drags on and after a few min. is no longer fun.

Overall the game play on the campaign turned to annoying rather than fun. And the story is horrible. I left the campaign feeling cheated. You do not get to finish your fight with the main boss and you don't ever get a chance to fight the queen. Very unfullfilling.

The best part of this game is the horde mode in which you can team up with up to 4 friends and take on an increasingly stronger horde of monsters. Of course it too has a bad side...you sometimes have to wait a very long time to get a game. For example It once took almost 10 min for me to start the game. Then the game didn't last very long and guess what...back to the waiting game. You often have to wait just as long as you play.

I honestly would have returned the game if not for the horde mode. It has a lot of replay value as you can play it on all the different maps and it creates an entirely different strategy. When you play the campaign it is like robot mode. Go here do this do that, look here etc. But when you play horde it is all free for all. You have to come up with your own strategy and it is much more challenging, and fun.

I would recommend only if you like playing with friends online. A for horde, D for the campaign.

5 out of 5 stars amazing game , beware very addictive   November 14, 2008

As difficult as it might be to live up to the hype surrounding GOW2, it actually does. The new Horde mode is absolutely addictive. There are some glitches, but the game-play more than makeup for that. With Destructible enviroments to boot, this game is a must have for fans of Gears.

3 out of 5 stars Things need to change....   November 14, 2008

As games continue to come out on the market, they need to be up to speed with the other games that are out there. When Call of Duty 4 came out, it was up there with the top fast paced games. After playing that game, I had certain expectations for the future of shooting games. When Gears of War 2 came out, I was ready. I picked up the game, started playing, and was really upset when I realized that it was just as slow paced as the first one. Over all, the game is fun to play in campain mode but when it comes to playing on live, I'll stick with COD 4.
