Could've been great with one simple addition: save points in the single player mode. Unless I have an hour or three to commit to playing, I'm stuck doing one of four things every time I turn it on. What's even more infuriating is that so many aspects of this game are fantastic-fun to play, solid graphics, lots of freakin' zombies. All of that potential made worthless by the lack of a few typewriters. Adding a really nitpicky complaint, I really don't need each of the four characters to vocally inform me whenever they reload a weapon.

This game kind of reminds me of what would Dead Rising in a FPS(within a dark alley)would look like.Left For Dead will have you sleeping with the light on in your room(that's how scary it is).You not only have to worry about 100 zombies coming at you at the same time,you will also have to worry about a mutated mammoth beast called a Tank(which will fly you across a room).Hunters,witches and everything else this game will throw at you will keep you looking at every corner all the time.The story mode is REAL short(but that also depends on the difficulty you set it on too),but the online mode(especially co-op)will keep you playing this game for months-if you can take the pain!

first i want to get somthing strait, this is not a scary game unless you are terrified of zombies this game to me is pure fun. there are four levels in the game i know it sounds like a short game but the creators managed to keep it interesting by bringing in the A.I dirictor if you dont know what it is its pretty simple, it changes the location of zombies,weapons and ammo changing it every time you play. the main goal in the levels is to move from safehouse to safehouse killing zombies along the way until you get to the last level and call a rescue vehicle each campaign is treated as its own game so the campaigns arent related. there isnt much of a story to L4D: 4 survivors that are immune to the infection must fight there way to rescue. some of the level layout is kind of repatative but its easy to get over. co-op is a lot of fun, people say that you need xbox live is needed to keep you entertained, i dissagree but having live does help. this game is without a doubt one of the best games i have ever played and possibly one of the best games ever made for the xbox 360.
