Great Game That Makes You Wanna Keep Playing Till Your Eyes Pop Out! August 3, 2009 avillabon 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have played a decent part of the game already and I find it very cool and it totally fulfilled my expectations after watching so many reviews. It has amazing graphics, very easy and simple combat system and has a story that makes you want to continue even when you have a ginormous headache!
I did though found a big fail in the game. It's the mapping system. I really think they could have done a better job there. I was hoping to see a full detailed map with a mini map for every town showing specifically where every store/bar or other place in the towns are. The map they put in this game is absolutely terrible and lacks depth and detail.
Other than that I think the game is very solid and very complete. It's a great game that falls under the category of a "must be bought." I can say with confidence that this game has a solid spot on my Top 10 Xbox 360 Games.
Overall:
5/5
One of the best fantasy role playing games. July 29, 2009 Dawson Brown 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The main game quest should have been longer, but I love the side missions, DLC, and the customization of your character and how he or she acts, looks, etc. A great game! and just to note.. I dont give that type of rating out lightly.
There is a reason why it was game of the year... July 29, 2009 E. Mccoy 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Its a really great game to play on your xbox 360... Also if you have a xbox live account and some microsoft points you can get some really cool add-ons for more content for the game... This will include new missions, new weapons, clothes, tattoos, achievement points etc etc etc... Its definitely one of the best games for the Xbox 360...
Extremely Fun......But for me it got tedious July 28, 2009 Maxamilion Bujak (Tucson, AZ USA)
I bought this game around the time it first came out and have been playing it ever since. But when new RPG's came along I bought a few of them, one of them usurprisingly was Oblivion.Yes I know Fable 2 came out after Oblivion but I bought but I just got more into it.Since in Oblivion you have the ability to communicate with the NPC's it really defeated Fable 2's whole "make 'em like ya or hate ya,make 'em laugh at ya or scream at the sight of ya" just with expressions. And, as a result in the past few weeks I have virtually quit playing the game.Although this is probably due to my reluctance to find out what happens if you help the bandits in the beginning by giving them the warrants, however I have a pretty good idea. This, combined with the many other same choices I've made the same in each file have affected my enjoyment of the game.So I guess it's more or less my fault and not the creator's fault.
All in all,Fable 2 is a great game and I would deffinately reccomend it for any rpg player. So I take back the whole "it gets boring" comment, but I'm not about to remove it.5 outta 5!
Best Final Boss Battle Ever July 25, 2009 strump (Bloch Lake, USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Yes, it has the best final boss battle ever. Those who have finished it will know what I'm saying, but I'm sure none of us would spoil it for those who haven't.
I'm still laughing to myself just thinking about it.
Anyway, it's a big, vivid, and generally fun experience. It may not be as deep or even as difficult as some other RPG games but it more than makes up for this with personality, a huge fully realized world, and superb pacing --- especially if you add the DLC expansions and accept the various side missions as they are offered.
As for the relative lack of difficulty, I must say that I don't really find RPGs to be particularly difficult as long as proper attention is paid to leveling up and obtaining good equipment. --- so this is pretty much in line with the genre.
Overall, I think it's quite excellent or at least a huge step in the right direction from the first Fable --- more personalization options, a bit more depth, better and more interesting treasure, a lot more equipment choices, and smoother character movement, would be the first adjustments that I'd make towards making an even better Fable 3. So, yes, there are certainly some things that could be better but why waste time nitpicking when most other games seem pretty uninspired and pedestrian compared to Fable 2.
So while we're waiting for something perfect, I suggest we enjoy this very accomplished and attractive game.
