Microsoft will charge you $50 a year if you use the auto renew feature through the Dashboard. So for $35 + free shipping this is a great deal! Stop getting ripped off by MS and buy these 12 month subscription cards while they are cheap!

look 2000 points is a year's worth of xbox live. As far as I know, $49.99 is the standard price and now its even 18 percent off making it close to $40.00. Unless its on sale, you WILL NOT find a better deal. The other reviewer does not know what he is talking about. Again I say, buy it anywhere you really want to but if you are on this site and want to order this product as soon as possible, there is no loss in buying here compared to buying anywhere else on the net that doesnt have a sale with the exclusion of course of ebay. Anyway, the product is awesome. If you know you are a big fan of online play and you are willing to keep up with it for a year or more, this is for you.

[...] This if for playing games online - NOT marketplace points. The two are completely seperate. You do not need Marketplace points to play online, and you do not need the XBOX live Gold to buy stuff in the Marketplace.
