100% March 26, 2008 Gift Card Recipient (VA, Richmond) Top of the line, Nothing better, Perfect, amazing, great...
This keyboard is beyond any expectations i have ever had! Ive owned it for a few months now and its still perfect! the LCD is VERY handy especially for music programs and time (stats as well) but to be able to control winamp in game is just a godsend!
The program able keys work very well too but dont kid yourself your not going to use them lol
52 something possible combos?! thats way to much work to program (make sure you back it up if you do tho!)
they aren't that easy to use in game unless its an RPG and you have spells assigned to them
personally i don't use them at all
but i love having them and would gladly spend the extra money just to keep them because they look so pretty at night!
BEWARE THIS BOARD IS HUGE! make sure you have desktop room
happy hunting!
Very Nice March 5, 2008 J. Korb (Erie, PA) Keyboard is very nice. Backlighting and the macros are very nice. LCD screen is also cool. Placement of the macro functions keys to the left of the regular keyboard area takes some getting used to (its hard to find hand placement without looking at first but you get used to it). The pegs for elevating the keyboard could also use an extra bumb up to create a more favorable angle.
Sadly, it does not withstand the test of time. February 13, 2008 Michael William Ciccarone (Orlando, FL) I purchased this keyboard well over a year ago and i'm already on my second one. The first was replaced by logitech because of "faulty clearcoat" on the paint, which came off within 1 month of acquiring this keyboard. The replacement came soon after and the keyboard paint seemed to last... for a time, however 6 months later the frequent keys (wasd to name 4) are already blue smudges, which occured under normal use. (This computer is used primarily for games, and I only have a couple hours to play them a day, at most )
I've had keyboard that have lasted for years that still look new, however the same does not hold true for the logitech G15.
Don't get me wrong, it's a pretty keyboard, with keys that are easy to press and quiet. The LCD looks sharp but is nearly useless.
Great for all users February 9, 2008 Joel Naticchioni (Lowell, MA) While this is marketed towards gamers, it also works quite well in day-to-day use as well. I keep my top programs keyed into the G-keys and call them up with a single press instead of going through the Start menu. The display is great for monitoring your system or media. Look up the Sir Real control panel. This is the best use of the display that I've come across so far.
Of course, in-game is where this really shines. You can set profiles for each game, and 3 key sets of 18 keys = 54 macros / bind commands per game. Makes performing frequent combos, team commands, or the like very easy.
Highly recommended product. I still like this one better than the new version. They took too much out of the newer orange one to make it smaller.
Excellent way to shop. January 24, 2008 R. Willemin (Northern Indiana USA) A great gamer's keyboard, priced right, the perfect gift for anyone with a gamer in the house. Not to mention that it was shipped the day I ordered it and started my holiday shopping off in the best of ways.
