Double becomes a single December 14, 2008 Mom of Two (Florida) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My children got the double Hyper dash for Christmas from Grandma. Only one of the wands works. The other will turn on, but will not recognize any targets and just goes back to the main menu or shuts off completely. New batteries did not help.
In this game, you set up the four targets whereever you want. Then you set the game to play with how many players you have. The wand calls out a color and you run to it and hit the target with the wand. Then it will call out another. Once you finish the course (averages 45-60 seconds, depending on how close you put the targets to each other), it tells you your time. Once all players have completed it, it repeats all the times and announces the winner. There are other modes that call out the target by number, or it will say reverse (which means you go back to the last target) or by math problem (7-3, so you have to strike 4).
So far, the other wand hasn't broken, and the kids enjoy it. I like that it's not another "sit down and stare at a screen toy". This gets the kids up and running around. It's good exercise but it's fun too. I would recommend this toy, but I do wish the other wand worked.
My sister got this for her kids too, and just like mine, only one wand worked. I'd rate it 4-5 stars if both wands worked.
Absolutely great December 12, 2008 C. Miller (Coralville, IA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I got this for my eight year old brother who has ADHD. He is a kid that if it doesn't include video games or running around outside he don't want it. He gave this a try and absolutely loves it. (My mom loves it too cuz it keeps him busy) He gets bored real easy and this game keeps him going. It is great.
The coolest game ever!!! December 7, 2008 Mom (Sunnyvale, CA USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
My son is age 9 and he loved this game. He said it was awesome. He learned how to play this game quickly because it was not complicated. He did not even need to read the instructions to play. I would recommend this game to everyone. My son plays this game every hour. I think he is interested in running around the house. My son has fun running and you run alot playing hyperdash. This was a good present. He got it for Christmas. He also got Hyperjump and he enjoyed it.

Great -- gets kids moving and they don't realize they're exercising December 1, 2008 Mom of 2 Boys (Connecticut, USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
What a great premise -- create an obstacle course, beat your best time, or your sibling's... move, break a little sweat, raise your heartbeat -- and have a great time doing it. One afternoon, with the targets spread all over the first floor, there were 2 teams of 4-40 year olds running around having a blast... in an era of couch potato video gamers, this is a welcome addition to game options... I make my kids play Hyperdash for the same amount of time they want to play video games or watch TV... exercise before passive activity! AMEN!
