Great Product December 25, 2008 Crazy Math Geek (North Carolina) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a little stiff until you play with it for awhile. Someone actually messed with it and a couple pieces fell off but it can be put back together. Putting it back together was almost as fun as solving it! Still a good puzzle and except for that one person yanking on the pieces it hasn't messed up since. Definite must have if you are a Rubik's fan!
Great product if you love the 3x3 December 14, 2008 Jessica H. (Midwest) I bought this for my younger brother to use while he's at summer school in another city and he LOVES it. He's already great at the first cube and can solve that one in 33 seconds. Now, he can figure this one out and is trying to improve his time. I love that it keeps his brain stimulated and keeps him out of trouble.
handle carefully - then ultimate thrill is your reward! December 11, 2008 F. Mutzenberg 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
Of course you need to master the 3x3 first before you attempt to try the 4x4. And rotate very carefully, NOT suitable for speed solving. I'm already on my 2nd cube! But this 4x4 cube gives me unlimited fun. That's why I gave it 5 stars. I could spend hours and hours, trying different solutions. (I also own the 5x5, which is not much different in regards of difficulty and solution strategies.) You gotta have them both!
Great Cube, amazing challenge November 30, 2008 Dennis Lysenko (Virginia, USA) This is a very high quality cube. I took it apart easily after using it for around thirty minutes and managed to lubricate it. After I lubed it, edge pieces started falling out, and that's the source of my 3/5 rating for durability, but it's definitely understandable. Another part of the bad durability rating is the difficulty of turning the cube quickly, but that isn't very bad - I've been practicing for two days and already have a record of 124 seconds. Not too hard to solve, but not too easy. Great price as well; a definite "Yes!" from my perspective.
Poor quality November 17, 2008 D. Tran 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
During my first solve, a piece popped and the entire thing fell apart. It was very difficult to put back together, so I simply returned. Also, the cube was very tight, and it was very difficult to move layers. I would recommend an Eastsheen cube instead.
