Ultimate challenge January 11, 2009 Marie A. Smith My son had mastered the 3x3 Rubik's cube, so for Christmas I bought him both the 4x4 and the 5X5. His sister also found a 2x2 so he has a whole series of Rubik's cubes stacked up. He has now mastered every one with the help of YouTube videos! What a retro thing that has come back as a popular teen item!
Poor quality January 10, 2009 Quincy Mom 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The product appears to be intrinsically defective. The cube came apart soon after my daughter began to try to solve it. We thought the problem might have been isolated to the cube that we bought, but we had the same experience with the replacement cube. It was a very disappointing experience for my daughter, who was quite excited to face a new challenge with the Rubik's cube.

I bought this for my brother. He said he saw fireworks when all the pieces of his cube came apart at once. He put it back together and hasn't asked me to return it yet.
The Worst I've Seen January 1, 2009 R. Jones (North Carolina) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It FELL APART IMMEDIATELY. I gave it to someone as a Christmas gift and it fell apart as soon as he opened it and tried to twist it. Literally with the first turn. It didn't even last a few days like the typical cheap toy. Unfortunately, he and his father couldn't put it back together. His mom gathered all the pieces in a box so I could RETURN IT. Now our running joke is this must be the "revenge" Rubik is talking about.
rubiks cube revenge December 26, 2008 John Doe fun if you like rubiks cubes, but be careful twisting it. i twisted it, not even hard, and 4 pieces popped out. luckily i had just finished it so i was able to put it back together correctly. i think some WD-40 might help this though
