I purchased this toy as a Christmas gift for my 4 year old niece. At first she didn't get the concept. But after the whole family got involved in a few competive rounds it was hard to stop playing. I think it is a great toy to play with if you have at least 4 people and it must be taught how the game works for young players. The toy is sturdy and yet very soft. It would be a great indoor/rainy day toy for elementary schools.

Fun, but the inside is hard plastic and you have to be careful when you toss it. Also, the volume is very low and there is no volume control. So, it's a little hard to hear the music.

I remembered how much fun my family had with the old hot potatoe when the kids were young. Their all married with children so for Christmas I bought each family 1. Well The New Soft Hot Potato was a big hit Christmas Eve with the whole family..from age 4 to 51!! Everyone was laughing and having a blast!! The only thing, the 10 yr old was throwing it a bit hard and the music doesn't play as loud now. But overall it was money well spent!!!
