"Wood" workshop January 2, 2008 Beth A. Bischof (Hinsdale, IL USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our 3 year old loves this! Yes the foam pieces are too hard for him to do alone but he thinks he's building things with them and that's all that matters. My only thing with it is it shows a wrench and another tool on the sticker that goes on it, but it doesn't come with these tools. Bummer. Overall great toy!
Workshop not so "real" March 23, 2007 A. Gillis 4 out of 33 found this review helpful
I got this for my son's 4th birthday present and I was disappointed to find out it is foam and not wood. I thought the projects were "real" projects. If we make a bird house out of foam it will be destroyed in the rain or by the birds themselves. Very disappointing.
Real Projects Workshop February 19, 2007 ABT (Brighton, MI) 6 out of 7 found this review helpful
Really nice product, easy assembly. My only complaint is it comes with a "blue print" that has pictures of different projects you can build. They are really hard to understand. It only shows you a completed project picture. And once you see the odd shape of some of the pieces, it can be real confusing to figure out what you need. My husband and I both had a difficult time figuring out some of the pictures. I'm not sure how our 3 year old is going to figure them out. I think we'll be building projects for him for quite a while.
Other than that, this is a great toy. Has a nice drawer for storage and a shelf below for the same. Despite the difficulty of the projects, my son loves it!

LOVE IT! my little man is 4 years old and he LOVES his workshop to build things, he has 3 different ones, 1 outside, one my dad made him for the garage and this one in his room, he already had all the battery operated drills and such so this real projects workshop was perfect to help him with his hand eye coordinations on drilling the skrews into the styrofome pieces, my husband even likes working with him on it, it's a GREAt learning station instead of them using the REAL stuff.... It;'s storage shelf is big too!
He loves it! January 11, 2007 K. Patterson 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is really cute for my (almost) 4 year old son. He will drag it all around the house where my husband is working and work on his own "projects". He is still too little to make the suggested projects by himself, but he can still put the pieces together randomly however he wants, and he loves that. Even older kids that come over will play with it and make the different projects. We like it.
