I bought this for my son shortly after his 2nd birthday.
The downside: I quickly realized that the small pieces were going to be a problem as I was starting to find them all over the house. I removed them and stashed them away. He could most likely manage them now but has a younger sister who would find them.
Also the trailer can be a bit tricky for a smaller child to open but as their motor skills improve they work past it.
The upside: With or without the small pieces this toy gets daily use for over a year now. Well worth the money. He loves incorporating the die cast cars with it now.
If something ever happened to this Mack truck we would definately repurchase it.

Small for the price but enjoyed by my grandson and that is the true test.
I will check in stores first next time to review the true size of toys.

This is a great toy for little people who love the movie Cars. It is durable and fun for them to play with open or shut.

Mack's truck cab is one of son's favorite toys. The trailer kind of spooks him a bit (he's 15 months) but enjoys pushing Mack around. The trailer is tough to open which for our son's age is perfect. But took me nearly 30 minutes to figure out which direction to push and tug to get it open.
