4 out of 5 stars Girls love it too   January 7, 2009

Most of the reviews are from parents of boys, but I bought this for my 2 year old girl for Christmas. She and my 6 year old girl love playing with it. It seems durable and easy to use. My 6 year old likes to use it as a dog collar/leash for her stuffed dogs, too.

2 out of 5 stars Really Fun, While it lasted...less than a week.   January 1, 2009

I bought this for my 4 1/2 yr old for Christmas. It is easy and fun to use and I loved that it is educational and does not require batteries.

My son played with for less than a week before the tape part completely ripped out.

I would save your money.

My 3 yr. old son has this to go with his workbench and he measures everything he sees! Very cute for pretend play!

3 out of 5 stars Almost too durable!   December 28, 2008

Well made and easy to read the numbers. The clicker for the tape measure has a little too much friction as you really have to pull to get the tape to come out and it's a little clunky to reel it back in. My 3 yr old got frustrated with and doesn't really play with it much. Even now when he's 4, he just leaves the tape out about a foot instead of moving it in and out.

4 out of 5 stars Sons like it   July 24, 2008

My son always wanted to play with a tape measure, but since they are sharp on the edges, it wasn't safe. I got this for him so that he would have his own. He likes it well, and it works fine. It is large, and you have to crank it to rewind the tape, which is not much like a real one. But he likes the toy, so for the price it was a good purchase.
