Fun, but not built well. January 9, 2009 K. Smart (Albuquerque, NM USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have loved Rubik's cubes since the 80s when I was a kid. They are a lot of fun and they help develop/refine spatial reasoning. This is a great toy, but I am NOT impressed with the quality.
The cube is difficult to turn, the stickers peel off, and I constantly have the cube bind. If I were to try to solve the cube very fast, I would probably shatter the thing and be left wondering how to put it back together. I have had a couple of pieces pop out while working with it, but since I was going slow it was easy to pop the piece back in.
My son bought the 4x4x4 and 5x5x5 from Eastsheen. It is a much better cube and a better size for the hand. I would hightly recommend the Eastsheen cube, but I am only luke warm to the Winning Moves brand.

Shipping was extremely fast!! Received on the day my Amazon account said it would be shipped!!! Gave as gift to someone who has mastered the 3X3 and 4X4 and he is "working" on solving this one too!
Pieces Fall Out January 7, 2009 CeeTee 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this as a gift for my bro. On the first day he tried solving the cube, the pieces fell out multiple times. He immediately asked me to return it and purchase a 5x5 made by another company that had better ratings.
No problems with mine! January 7, 2009 D. Lau 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I have no problems with my 5x5 cube. Yes, it sometimes comes apart if not properly aligned when turning, but no more so than a well used 3x3 cube. This is not a cube used for speed cubing. If this is your intention, you will be very frustrated because it will have turning problems due to the mere fact that there are many more pieces that have to be aligned for proper turning. This will always be a problem, no matter what the internal design. You just have to live with it. As far as the stickers are concerned, mine are fine. I have not had the same sticker problems as others.
I figured out the 3x3 on my own without reading a book. I have seen others solve their cube with the "book" solution method and my method is COMPLETELY different. I was able to solve the 4x4 and the 5x5 using similar techniques as the 3x3. I am curious to find out whether the "book" solution for the 3x3 carries over to the 4x4 and 5x5.
Rubik's Cube 5X5 at last! January 6, 2009 Barbara F. Bellatti (Tulsa Ok USA) Gave this as a gift to my son, who has mastered the 3X3 and 4X4. He has been dying to try one. He solved it in 45 min. the first time, then spent a little longer each time afterwards trying to figure out what he did the first time. He loves it. He likes brain teasers and puzzles, needs the challenge to keep his mind nimble.
