Dirk April 19, 2009 David J. Eastman Eventhough this toy has been around for a long time - you would think they would have perfected it. Instead, it appears they have cheapened it. Labels were pealing off when we opened the box. Poor quality.
Still can't solve the darn thing! March 29, 2009 Anthony A. Ratliff (Michigan) I got an urge to try the Rubik cube again.
I had one as a kid and never could figure it out.
Well, I recently learned that I still can't figure it out!

Too hard February 12, 2009 Alexander Gruber (Chicago, IL USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
My, but this thing is stubborn. The cube once mixed up is most difficult to rotate back together. I've managed one side completely, with the adjacent squares matched up as well, but now I cannot make any more progress without messing it up.
Highly educational if you can solve it. Wrangles you if you can't.
Rubik's Cube February 8, 2009 S. Cramer (IL United States) Rubik's cubes are great - in general. And they make great gift ideas for almost any occasion.
Tips on how to solve this one are all over the internet especially youtube. There are even tips online for speedsolving, tricks like behind-the-back solving (where you memorize cube positions), and Rubik's cube patterns.
THIS IS ONE TOY YOU WILL NEVER GET TIRED OF (but if you do, you can just buy the larger cubes or trickier puzzles that build up on the previous ones)
The one I bought online was actually cheaper than I would have found at Walgreens or in a game store. I recommend not buying this product [...], because it shouldn't cost more than that, no matter what the quality. Don't be duped into thinking more expensive is higher quality; in this case, they're all about the same quality.
