A spectacular invention October 20, 2007 D. Isaak (Northglenn, CO) The Rubik's Revenge is a MUST for all fans of the twisting and turning phenomenon that has stolen the lives of many. It does have a different feel to it though. Like the 2x2x2, its not rotating on a single axis and, at first, doesn't have a definite color structure. This thing will twist your head around in circles trying to come up with different algorithms and methods of solve. The one downside to it is that it tends to fall apart. Although this may seem like a crucial downfall, you can put these pieces back together. For those of you that are new to the Rubik's Cube and are surprised by this, the 3x3x3 also comes apart for lubricating. I recommend this puzzle for all but do be cautious if you have not mastered the 3x3x3.
My personal favorite Rubik's Cube. August 11, 2007 Tim (Virginia) I purchased my Rubik's Revenge in Europe, which must have made some sort of difference in the product's durability - mine is still holding up after months of heavy use (though the cube is much looser than the the 3x3 or 5x5). The 4x4 is now my favorite of all three, as it provides a challenge that is above that of the original but is not as time-consuming as the Professor per solve.

The toy broke less than a week after we received it, by regular use from a 10 year old boy. The toy would have been great if it had been made more durable. Any idea how I can get my money back from this purchase?
BREAKABLE July 12, 2007 Caryn Evers-messing yeah, it broke after my first two solves, one of the face pieces broke off and that supports the corner and edge pieces so the whole corner fell apart. I had to get another one from the company who gladly replaced it.

ok, so my first one exploded within minutes of opening it and no matter how many times I put it back together it would just fall apart (turns out it had a stripped screw hole on the inner sphere that holds the triangles onto the core). well amazon sent me another one and I literally got it in one day (and they paid all shipping costs). my new one is much nicer and only falls apart if I really torque it the wrong way (which is perfectly normal). if your new to 4x4x4 rubiks cubes don't expect a durable toy and don't move it around too fast because its pretty fragile and not fun to put back together.
