This is a wonderful, and big, puzzle with very sturdy pieces. The picture is bright and beautiful. My son has put it together three times since recieving it 5 days ago.

We bought a number of wooden M&D puzzles. My twins tutned 3 and so I decided this would be a good next step based on the reviews. The picture is beautiful and the 3 yr old could do the puzzle with a bit of help. The 6 yr old loved it and could do the puzzle in about 10 minutes.
I would highly recommend both the picture as well as the puzzle.

My last couple of Melissa and Doug purchases had made me nervous, but this puzzle reminded me why I love the company. The pieces are large and substantial in your hand. The box has much more weight to it than you would expect for a puzzle this size. And the box is durably made to not break apart easily so you can actually STORE the pieces in it without the use of scotch tape.
The theme is beautifully colored and interesting and appeals to both genders. A great addition to our puzzle cabinet.

Bought to have at the house for the g-kids. 6 year old was able to assemble it with minimal assist, mostly to get started. Will likely be something he will re-build over and over :-)

My 3-year old daughter just loves it. She can finish 70% of the work by herself now.
