American Mah Jongg September 28, 2009 Bonnie Ellis (Michigan, USA) Best book on American Mah Jongg that I've seen. A must have for beginners!
mah jong September 13, 2009 green gables (usa) Beginner's Guide to American Mah Jongg: How to Play the Game & WinI reccomend this book to anyone wanting to play the game. Easy to understand- always travel with it when I'm playing with people I don't know.Great reference.
Good as far as it goes September 8, 2009 M. Young (Bend, OR USA) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This book is fine, but it does not include an easy-to-find, easy-to-use scoring chart. Since that is what I really was looking for, I am less than happy with this book. I think ALL Mah Jongg books should have a scoring chart somewhere inside.
Beginners Guide to American Mahjongg August 25, 2009 Sun Yat Sen (Los Angeles) This is by far the best and most thorough book for new players and is written in a breezy and witty style.
A Beginner's Guide to American Mah Jongg August 14, 2009 Sandy Lee (Scottsdale, AZ) This is an excellent, comprehensive, easy to understand explanation of the game. A great resource especially for the new player. Book contains pictures and illustrations that are clear and helpful. Step by step instructions for organizing a hand, and play strategies. The book even contains a section on how to update an old set! Recommended!
