4 out of 5 stars New Moon review   November 6, 2006

New Moon was a very good book considering its amazing imagery and plot. However, I found that the only problem with the plot is its ending. I can understand that, though, because it is, afterall, a sequel and a sequel's ending is never as good as the first's. Read it and decide for yourself, though, because it's still definitely worth reading, just like any other book written by Stehpanie Meyer.

5 out of 5 stars Stephanie does it again!   November 6, 2006

Once again, Stephanie Meyer turns out an absolutely enthralling book. It is difficult to believe that the wonder that is "Twilight" was her first attempt at a novel. I am a voracious reader and currently an English major in college but these books are definately my favorites. Meyer has a way of sucking you into her world, of becoming a part of the lives of her characters. When I got my copy of New Moon, I sat down in my room and read it basically straight through. I'm sure that my new roommates thought that I was crazy. It is a book that captures you. You can't read it without crying...a lot. I cried through most of the book, but not always in a bad way. By the end, they were happy tears. The only thing left to say is...don't hate Jacob! I know that most people who read New Moon tend to hate him, but I adored him completely. If it wasn't for Edward...he would be any girl's dream.

I loved the book Twilight alot and finished in about 3 days and imedialty began New Moon! I missed Edward though. He was only in the end and the beginning. I really wanted Edward to change Bella, before she got to much older. I don't understand why Edward doesn't want to change her, maybe she'll almost die and then he'll have to. I Loved these two books and I am eagerly waiting the 3rd!

Stephenie Meyer's newest addition to the Bella&Edward series, New Moon, is superb, It connects with the reader so emotionally, that you are in the story itself.
I found myself in tears at various times during reading, because of the tragic romance the two deal with. The novel is so gripping that, the moment I picked it up, the world around me vanished. New Moon deals with Bella and Edward's relationship (which is always different because of Edward being a vampire), yet also dives deeper into the "forest of secrets", regarding sophomore, Jacob Black.
Reading this book, no- this masterpiece, was the perfect end to my summer. Bring on Eclipse...it only keeps getting better.

4 out of 5 stars New Moon delivers more than just vampires   November 6, 2006

Twilight is my favorite book and having New Moon as its sequel brought me back into the world of Edward the vampire and his beautiful pale girlfriend, Bella Swan. New Moon didn't have the "boy meets girl" love situation that I so loved about Twilight, but it was very good. However, if the reader cannot handle Bella Swan's emotional breakdowns and extreme heartache through most of the novel, then this is the wrong book for you to read. I enjoyed Bella's emotional insecurity because I felt Stephenie Meyer really wrote that well. The book starts slow as does Twilight and you find yourself (or I did) laboring through the first chapters to get to the meat and bones of the novel where it becomes impossible to put down. Once Bella reunites with Jacob, the Quileute (sp?) boy from the first novel, the novel seems quite easy to read as the flirtation and raw place that Bella has had for quite a while starts to heal. But, she's soon thrown back into feelings for Edward. One thing I did not enjoy about this book was how easily Jacob was disregarded at the end. It seems as though he never existed in the novel. I do hope Meyer writes a third book because I absolutely adore her writing and her character of Bella Swan.
