Very fun to learn typing with SpongeBob. January 29, 2009 Rosania Fugate (tx,USA) Is very fun to learn typing with spongeBob becouse it is not a program that makes you tired of the same lesson over and over. Each time your speed change you get a new lesson.I recomend.
Doesn't Work with usb keyboard, no support January 10, 2009 Robert S. Knapp (Cyberspace) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
If there were a "0" star category, I would select it. The "typing" part of the program doesn't permit any keyboard entry, at least ln two of my computers (both have USB keyboards). Compatability settings provide no improvement. I'm not sure if it's worth trying on any others; they are not available to the kids.
The support web site doesn't find the program AT ALL, but it is seen on the "Products" part of the site. There is no link or address for e-mail contact. It is, therefore, within my definition of "unsupported."
The problem is "not in my set" - My machine exceeds all minimum requirements by an order of magnitude in regard to speed, memory, etc.
Maybe if you have a totally "vanilla" computer it may be adquate, if you can get it to run.
I recommend Mavis Beacon, even for 6-yr-olds.
Fantastic January 6, 2009 Angela Petree (Craig, Colorado) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 7 year old and he loves it. We use it for homeschooling and when we move on to something else he doesn't want to stop typing. I recommend this highly. It has games that make it fun and then it has a practice mode that has Spongebob's hands over the keyboard so your child can learn the homekeys.
Awesome! January 3, 2009 Jim Davis (Fort Worth, TX) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I bought this for my 7 yr old son. He loves the computer and he's a huge Spongebob fan. He immediately took an interest in the game. His typing noticeably improved after just an hour or two of playing the game.
There are two things that I dislike about the game. First, it has a lot of advanced activities that require some serious typing experience. However, there is enough low-level stuff to keep my son entertained. Second, it does not do enough to teach the proper hand positions. But it has helped my son better navigate the keyboard.
Overall, I'd recommend it.
Great typing lessons and fun for kids December 3, 2008 C. Peterson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I bought this product for my 9 year old. With all the video games out there I needed something that would keep his attention and teach typing at the same time. After reading other reviews I bought this product and my 9 year old loves it. I watched him play/practice and he's already improving. He'll even choose this over other video games. If your child likes SpongeBob and needs to learn typing this is a perfect product.
