Beautiful set November 13, 2008

My daughter had read the first two books in this series in the paperback form. Her uncle recently sent her the entire boxed set because the final book was not available in paperback, I do think the covers are much more sturdy and it looks great on the book shelf. Meanwhile she can loan her paperbacks to her friends. There is a waiting list at her school to read these from the library. It made an excellent gift.

I'm a huge Twilight fan! The 4 books are great, hardcovers all of them, and so are the prints with the quotes. However, the cardboard box they came in was broken and I had to glue it back myself, which is obviously disappointing. For this price I expect my order to be delivered with care.

The whole set is great. Having the books in a boxed set for the price on Amazon is amazing. I would definitely recommed this saga to anyone who loves a good love story with some mythical creatures as well. 10 thumbs up for me.

I borrowed the books from a friend and wanted them for myself. Purchasing all four separately with Twilight and New Moon in paperback, and Eclipse and Breaking Dawn in hardcover would cost the same (maybe even cheaper as today it's $45, when I got it for $52) as this boxset for all four.
If you want all 4 books, I recommend this just for being cheaper. It's the exact same story -- same words on the pages -- but you get all 4 books in hardcover, four 5x7" postcards (pictures of the covers of each of the books), and the nifty box.
As for the books, they're definitely not pulitzer prize worthy, but the story is addicting! At the heart of it is an intense, crazy, even obsessive love story between a human girl and an [immortal] vampire. I felt like a smitten teenager in high school again!!

I've never encountered this problem before but Twilight must have escaped quality control. The print is offskew and slanted rather than straight and portions of the book are not even bound. The remainder of the books are fine but I hate paying good money for shoddy quality.
