I've read all the books Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breakind Dawn. I loved Twilight, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. However, the New Moon was very boring. The first couple chapters are good, but when Edward & Bella break up, it gets trashy. BUT ITS GETS GOOD FROM CHAPTER 17, TO THE END OF THE BOOK(because Edward & Bella get back together!) I kept on thinking at the end Edward would change Bella to a vampire but he dosnt till the last book when Bella gives birth to her & Edwards baby girl, Renesme. I LOVED when Edward proposed to her, but she says shes not ready but they do OFFICIALY get engaged in Eclipse. And the last books is the wedding, when her & Edward have sex for the first time, birth of their daughter Renesme, and so on. I'll stop cause i dont wanna ruin the series for you but on a scale New Moon is a 3/5. If your a team Jacob fan, you'll love it but if your team Edward, you'll hate it. The books do get better and better.
(My Scale on TWILIGHT SERIES)
Twilight - 5/5
New Moon - 3/5
Eclipse - 5/5
Breaking Dawn - 5/5

While I enjoyed this book, I found I was annoyed with the main character pretty much constantly throughout it. It's really hard to explain without giving away the plot of the book, but I found myself trying to figure out some way to kick Bella in the head for being that girl. I couldn't give a book with a main character that obnoxious any higher even if I absolutely loved the book.
Easy, Contrived, Formulaic October 25, 2009 Jedidiah Palosaari (Fes, Morocco) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I've heard it said that this is the worst written of the four, and so far after two books, I must agree. There was a good deal of action and some interesting twists. I appreciated the insights into life as a teenage girl. From the little I know of this, Bella seemed to act quite appropriately. And perhaps it's that the book is told from Bella's perspective, and Meyer was trying to go overboard to write as if it were written by a high school girl. But the plot and characters seem contrived and far too easy. Things fall together in a predictable pattern, and the reader is quite aware that this great loss experienced by Bella will not last forever. She experiences no growth as a result of the incident, nor is there real conflict. At times, she really does appear to be leading her friend Jacob on, and at other times seems to have become clinically obsessed in a dependent relationship with Edward. It's the classic story of boy meets girl, girl loses boy, girl finds boy- with fangs. And that's what we call a formula. In the hands of a better author than Bella, this could have been a much deeper and more engaging story, life changing for the characters and for the reader. My hope is that Meyer will take over from Bella in the third book.
