im 14, and i just read new moon, though it is not published yet, i had an arc copy, and it is just as great, if not better, than twilight. its suspenceful, and it may not go in the direction most fans were thinking, they will not be dissapointed, i guarantee.
i cant wait to read it again!!!!!!

Awesome Book! August 18, 2006 Krissinda Amantea (NY) I read this book in like 3 days, took me so long b/c I have to work and I have kids! I could not put it down just as I could not put twilight down (which I read twice). I loved this book, but I can say I liked Twilight better! I hope there is a 3rd book! I would recommend it to anyone who liked Twilight!
Except for the Beginning and Ending....Disappointed August 18, 2006 T. Sparks (Burbank, CA) 9 out of 20 found this review helpful
I am a HUGE fan of "Twilight" and was dying of excitement for this book to come out. And the beginning was exactly what I was hoping for: the two characters we all love, Bella and Edward, back in action. But not too far into the story, Edward exits the book for many pages (most of the book, in fact) and is replaced by Jacob, a character we met in "Twilight" and who, for me, is a poor substitute, with none of the charisma, intensity and uniqueness of Edward. I am not sure why Stephenie Meyer chose this direction. Surely she knows of the love her fans have for Edward, and cutting him out of the story like this did not serve any purpose in my opinion, other than to frustrate the reader.
Edward fans beware. Instead of "New Moon", you are better off re-reading "Twilight."
Amazing August 17, 2006 silentsong 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
Utterly amazing. I cannot believe the sequel isnt coming out until 2007. So sad. Until then, I suppose I'll re-read Twilight and New Moon. They're just that great.
Yeah....it's that good. August 17, 2006 Kelly Elise (Austin, Tx) 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
My review is just another scrap of evidence to the already undeniable fact that Stephenie Meyer is brilliant. Meyer continues her story of the greatest romance since Romeo and Juliet. Her words touched my soul at the unimaginable pain that Bella goes through while her Edward is away. I don't want to give anything away, but I will tell you vampires aren't the only creatures of the night in this exceptional sequel. Friendships are formed and broken and Bella is drawn closer still to making the ultimate choice of her life; whether to accept her humanity or leave everything she's ever known in an effort to keep her one true love forever. Human or vampire? I cried more than a little and laughed a lot. I loved this book as much as the first and I can't wait for the next one to come out. I will comment on the handful of editing errors. I caught 5 total just in spelling error. It's not uncommon for a book as large as this one (563 pages!) but it was distracting at times. However do not let that keep you from buying this book, it's just a warning for those who are sticklers on spelling and such like me. I'd give this book more than 5 stars if I could, to heck with grammer.
