 Missing the show September 12, 2009

Now I have all the seasons - it's good because the show is off the air - but still has a large fan base. I enjoyed "escaping through the gate." The characters became friends I'd watch every week. The only "problem" I saw was that Jewel Strait came in to the series and she captured a lot of single episodes dedicated to her story line and her new character- much to the expense of the seasoned characters I cared a lot more about - so, while a little bothersome - it was all right. I do keep thinking of her as a young mechanic however (Serenity). I like her work.

I have all the Stargate SG-1 and Stargate Atlantis seasons. I was so sorry to learn this was the last season for Atlantis. I do miss Joe Flanigan and the crew.

I have all seasons of Atlantis and SG1. When Atlantis first aired it was way better than SG-1, the pace was faster than SG-1. Most of the early episodes were very good. However towards the end of the series, it was basically just the same. McKay saves the day when things are impossible. I kind of got sick of the same pattern. Even though many people liked "Vegas", I think it was the worst episode of the series. The extended episodes and not that extended. The show ended abruptly. (There was no reason to land Atlantis in SF bay or so). I think this was one of the more disappointing seasons. Alliance with Todd and fighting again with Michael. Just too boring. Having liked Atlantis way better than SG-1, I realized that I play dvds of SG-1 almost all the time. Seen the SG-1 more times than Atlantis. I realized that I like SG-1 more on DVD or re-runs. Anyway that is my opinion. The new SG Universe sounds too much like a scifi-ed version of LOST. Still this Atlantis box set is entertaining, and if you have the other seasons, you are probably not going to stop yourself from buying this one.
