I'm currently taking college algebra at my local university and I haven't had math in 20 years. Today's text books only gives you a few examples and most of the time the examples are different from your homework assignment. I wished I would have purchased these dvd's back in January. Jason could update his system with modern technology, but I understand algebra so much better now that I have this systems. His mistaks are what I considered honest mistakes because at some point he flies right through the problems. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a better understanding of algebra. Now I'm going to go back and some problems in back to reinforce what I've learnd. Finally, help has arrived and I feel really confident that I'm going to pass algebra!

These DVD's are simple and direct and to the point. They are refreshingly useful and have helped me to learn math concepts I had hurried over in the past or had forgotten. With only Jason's hands on screen, there is no distraction and the viewer is actually more engaged in the discussion. This isn't bells and whistles, it is the fundamental nuts and bolts of the math that YOU NEED to solve problems from other textbooks. I am a public librarian and am asked continuously to recommend math texts, especially algebra. After seeing and using this video myself, I realized there was no need to recommend a text book I had never used before and wasn't sure of. I ordered the DVD for the library and now recommend it for others whenever I am asked for a good math resource. It has been so popular, that it has been in constant circulation since we bought it 3 months ago. Studying for the GED? this is the resource for you. Studying for the GRE? even undergraduates need to bone up on algebra, trig, and calculus which appear on the graduate entrance exam. These DVD's will help you to iron out the math weaknesses you may have. As the title of this review shows, I expect other math profs who see this or companies such as McGraw Hill, to come out with a similar product in the near future but don't be taken in by them. Jason was the innovator of this form of math instruction and his teaching technique leaves nothing unturned. Get these highly effective DVD's today!

I purchased this product to brush up on my math skills prior to taking the GMAT exams. The Math Video Tutor is essentially a small white board, the author's hand with a marker, and his voice guiding you through the exercises. There are no distractions and the lessons are extremely clear. After watching this DVD, my practice test scores improved significantly and I ultimately survived the GMAT and made it into my graduate school of choice. I highly recommend this product for anyone who needs a high school math review, whether it's to help your kids with their homework, or in my case, to prepare for graduate school entrance exams!

I have always wanted to learn Algebra and I was very happy when I got my DVD. I'm really glad I didn't listen to those people with those bad reviews. There was nothing wrong with the quality of the video unless you are expecting HD??? The video quality is good and the teacher explains everything in detail. Once again not only did it meet my expectations but it surpassed it. I am so happy to finally have begun to learn Algebra that now I will feel comfortable talking my GMAT test. I want to take this moment and thank the teacher and creator of this video. THANK YOU BIG TIME!!!!!!!
