5 out of 5 stars My grade went from a "C" to an "A" with this DVD!   December 30, 2004

The title says it all. I'm a student at the university here, and I was struggling in Algebra until I stumbled across this gem of a video. My grades have improved from a "C" to an "A", but best of all I am actually excited about taking more math courses required for my major. Thanks for the great product!

I am an educator in the Boston area and this DVD has really helped many of the students that I teach. I have found over the years that you can hold students' attention longer if you cut to the chase in the lecture and that is exactly what this DVD does. The best way to describe the teaching style is 'immersion'. Foriegn languages are frequently taught by immersing the student 24/7 in speaking and reading language - this is very effective in language - its how infants learn. The author of this Algebra DVD immerses the student by working countless examples. This method allows the student to gain confidence working problems and gets them excited about learning more. The explanations are very clear and easy to understand. 5 Stars!

This was exactly what I was looking for! Clear explanations of problems and solution techniques. If you only have the budget for one Algebra DVD, this one is the one to get.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Algebra DVD on the Market!   December 6, 2004

I have several Algebra videos that I have bought over the years, most of them are of the Standard Deviants Series. This DVD is by far the *BEST* one of them all! First, it is much, much longer in duration than any other video in this price range - 10 HOURS LONG! That is 6 times longer than most of the Standard Deviant DVDs that I own. Second, and most importantly, is the fact that the whole thing is FULL OF EXAMPLE PROBLEMS. The other DVDs that I own lecture you until you are blue in the face but then you are left wondering how to actually solve anything. This DVD is exactly the opposite! If you have a homework problem that you do not understand how to do, chances are that a similar problem is completely worked out on this DVD. I can't overstate how much my understanding of Algebra has improved with this product. Highly recommended to all!

I have this DVD and it is awesome! It covers everything you need to know about Math through Algebra and the author explains things in a way that is very easy to understand. The best part is that there are no endless lectures where you get lost and lose intersest. The entire disk is basically full of example problems so right from the beginning you will be learning how to get good at working the problems. I will be buying more copies for my nieces and nephews!
