Quality Entertainment for My Family!! May 18, 2008 Jeffrey Wilson 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
It was great to see this show again after all of these years. My family used to watch this show together when I was a kid. Now that I have my own family, we can watch this show together and skip the worthlessness that most current television programming offers. I enjoy sharing this series with my kids and knowing that they are watching a wholesome show that teaches traditional moral values. Highly recommended for all!!
Little House! April 26, 2008 Joanne Arvin 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
What is not to like about these decent shows! Sad there' s
not more than the junk they show now!
Wholesome family entertainment! April 7, 2008 Jolly Bean (Taipei City, Taiwan) This is by far the best of its genre. The 70's is all about family entertainment. I watched almost every episode of every season of "Little House" with my siblings. We practically grew up with Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson who played the Ingalls girls. Now that I'm already in my 40's, I watch it with nostalgia. I bet 20 years later, it'll still work for me as it did decades ago. Timeless tales of the pioneer days just never go out of style.
Wholesome Family Entertainment! March 24, 2008 A Mother (Philly, PA) What a blessing to actually be able to sit down as a family and watch tv! There is so much garbage on television these days and we are refreshed to be able to pop in these wonderful classics! My kids are seeing great values enforced and enjoy each show!
Great Episodes, Terrible Video/Audio Transfer March 14, 2008 Slim Pickens 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
Growing up, the children in my family all loved watching Little House on the Prairie. Season one has many moving episodes which stand in great contrast to most of the amoral tripe on TV these days. Having said that, my one star is not a review of Little House so much as a review of the quality of the DVDs, which is rotten. The audio sounds terrible and the video at times is really bad. It's clear that very little work or love went into this release. It appears that the bare minimum was done to make it marketable and that's about it. The series deserves better.
