My second favorite Michael Jackson album. October 18, 2009 Freelan Justice (West Virginia, USA) Right behind Thriller, I would consider BAD to be my second favorite Michael Jackson album. It was time, after Thriller, for Michael to show the world how bad he truly was. Hence the name of the album. And, to be fair to Michael, while he didn't get the success he did with Thriller, nor would he ever again in his lifetime, he definitely proved to everybody he's bad, and you know it.
TRACK LISTING:
1. Bad
2. The Way You Make Me Feel
3. Speed Demon
4. Liberian Girl
5. Just Good Friends
6. Another Part Of Me
7. Man In The Mirror
8. I Just Can't Stop Loving You
9. Dirty Diana
10. Smooth Criminal
11. Leave Me Alone
13. Streetwalker
17. Fly Away
*Special edition, of course*
My personal favorites on this album are Bad (he had to show the world he was bad,) The Way You Make Me Feel (which is a nice romp around the room song,) Man In The Mirror (because it's such a personal and touching song,) I Just Can't Stop Loving You (because I'm currently in that kind of situation and that song speaks to me because of it,) and, of course, Smooth Criminal (due to it being the ultimate dance song on the album!)
A Michael Jackson fan should definitely own a copy of Bad. I don't see why they wouldn't want to.
Drivin' to California October 16, 2009 September (Santa Fe) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Two weeks ago I drove from Santa Fe to California, a drive which takes 12 hours. I played Michael the whole way but the CD that really jams is Bad. To me, MJ is his edgiest on this CD. He's just pure, raw genius and he wrote more songs on this CD than Off the Wall or Thriller. The song that I can't get enough of is Streetwalker. I just keep hitting the replay button over and over again. If you don't respond to this song, you don't have a pulse.
Michael, this is AMAZING! October 8, 2009 BossaNovaForever Michael Jackson, as well as Quincy Jones (:D) did an awesome job on this album. Although I don't like better than Thriller, this album is much more mature. My favorites include:
1. Liberian Girl, a quiet storm ballad driven by Michael's smooth vocals
2. Another Part of Me, an R&B dance track that is exhilarated by Michael's effortless delivery
3. I Just Can't Stop Loving You, a heart-wrenching ballad sang beautifully between Siedah and Michael
4. Dirty Diana, a rock groove that showcases Michael's dynamic vocals, as well as Steve Stevens guitar playing
5. Fly Away, words can't describe. How did this song NOT make the cut?
This album is a distinguishing land-mark in Michael Jackson's repertoire, and remains the only album to have 5 #1's. Epic could have been the second title for the album, because that's what it truly is.
Wonderful album September 23, 2009 Breanna D. Dawson (Virginia) I love this cd so much. I especially love "Man in the Mirror", "Bad" and "Smooth Criminal". Something else that I also like is the booklet with the lyrics. The pictures included in the booklet are incredible and it makes me miss Michael Jackson that much more. The extra tracks and interveiws with Quincy Jones at the end are amazing. I would definitley recommend this to any Michael Jackson fan.
BAD is good September 17, 2009 Wu Yu Yu (Canton, China) This album including many songs I like: LIBERIAN GIRL,I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU, SMOOTH CRIMINAL, and have the Spanish version of I JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING YOU. Awesome, I'm happy to hear Michael sings in Spanish. R.I.P. Michael, miss you.
