Michael is mesmerizing! October 31, 2009 V.C. Knight (Chicopee, MA) Michael is as riveting as he could ever be personally and artistically. Well,Well worth the money. I cannot say enough to convey how wonderful this DVD is: The deep insights, making of the videos, and OMG the stadium show...I cried from the beauty of it. What a masterful production. There's a deeply moving, soulful speech by Michael..very insightful....super shots...behind the scenes... intense ...beautiful ...great songs.I when I got it I immediately watched it...twice. His moves, the presentation, the artistry will all grip you. Greatly impressive. I'm getting more to give as Christmas presents. This is a "must have".
awesome behind-the-scenes footages!! October 30, 2009 Angela S. Hwang (Los Angeles, CA) I am so happy with this DVD. It has the music videos you can't find in other DVDs and what's more, it also has behind the scenes "making of" sections!!!
The part at the Grammy Legends 93 segment is truly touching, and MJ is so beautiful and there was so much love and adoration between him and his sister, Janet Jackson!
I highly recommend you get this and add to your collection.
ALSO, he looks super sexy in his "Give In To Me" music video and one of my all time fav song, "Who Is It" this music video is like a movie!!! super hot!!!
GO GET IT! It's an amazing dvd with the best, awesome videos and footages!!
Dangerous - The Short Films October 26, 2009 Marika F. Hoyt (Madison, WI USA) As a professional classical musician, I appreciate and applaud the talent, work and dedication that go into making a product of this caliber. When I say that Michael Jackson is one of the finest performing artists to ever grace a stage, it's not because I'm a crazed fan - I'm a fan BECAUSE of the quality of his work. His creative vision rivals Mozart's Magic Flute in spectacle, his flawless execution challenges Glenn Gould's, and his global impact is greater than that of any other artist, ever, dead or alive.
It is fascinating to me to ponder the difference in character and reach between classical and popular art/culture. Pop types look at classical artists as overly cerebral, while we classical types tend to look down our noses at the pop crowd. But the pop/classical divided is only one of the many chasms that MJ bridged with ease - he listened to classical music often, and lists Debussy and Tchaikovsky as two of his favorite composers. And he elevated his own pop music/dance to a true art level that will endure, I think.
These short films capture his staggering artistry, as well as the near hysteria with which it was received. The uncut version of 'Black Or White' reveals not only his incredible dancing, but also the rage he feels at the sting of racism which so any endure. His pure desire to 'Heal the World' balances nicely with the raw sexiness of 'In The Closet.' His like will not be seen again - we are so fortunate to have so much of his work on record.
Great videos October 24, 2009 D (Folsom Ca USA) This is a great collection of videos, including the full lenth Black or White video with some news clips about the controversy of it. They also have some behind the scenes clips of the making of a couple of the videos which is really cool to see him at work & having fun. Definately recommend!
