This is the best version I've ever seen January 16, 2009 Jennifer Stephens (Oakland City, IN USA) This is the best version of Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" I've ever seen. Patrick Stewart is phenomenal. The movie is so well directed and produced that I feel as though I've been transported back to 19th century England. I highly recommend it.
Fantastic!! January 13, 2009 P. Cody (Rhode Island) Patrick Stewart by far plays the best Scrooge. For the price how can you turn this down. This turns out to be one of our favorite Christmas movies.
GOOD JOB- NICE EXPERIENCE January 12, 2009 R. Teacher (Fl, USA) This product was certainly top of the line. No flaws in the over-all quality and condition. The movie was shipped quickly and arrived at the desired time.
Superior version of Dicken's A Christmas Carol. January 7, 2009 J. J. LAMOREAUX (Union Park, Fla) excellent production values, script and casting; this is superior version of Dicken's tale is one of the best. Next to Alastair Sim's Scrooge, Patrick Stewart creates a marvelous tightfisted Character. Very worth watching, and shows how multi-talented Mr. Stewart's acting is.
Best version available January 6, 2009 E. Nielsen (Eau Claire WI) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have been a fan of Dickens' beloved story all my life. I have watched numerous versions each year since I was a child. While I've always believed the Alister Sim version (1955) was the best of all time, I must now state that Patrick Stewart as Scrooge is simply incredible! Stewart truly brings Scrooge to life, and his ability to convey the profound transformation of the old miser is simply marvelous. Great supporting cast and costuming as well. I would highly recommend this production!
