hey i got my xbox 360 on september 21 2009 and it was a jasper unit. it was ordered after they changed the discription from 512MB to the 10MB. the jasper unit runs cooler and the power brick is smaller overall it's good and hopefuly the RROD is behind MS

This arcade model is far better than the original boxes out there. My original x box was as loud as a twin airplane, suffered from constant overheating till eventually my video chips burned out. This arcade is very quiet and a lot faster plus has some internal memory. If you are looking to replace or buy a new x box think no more and get it.

We bought this to be able to play Netflix instantly on it. It is awesome and we love it! It is easy to use even my 7 year old knows how to download movies and watch them. I am not big into video game systems, husband is, but I have to say I love this purchase. We are going to buy one for my parents for Christmas.

I ordered this version because at the time it was the only guaranteed Jasper. Yeah it came without a hard drive, but i got a used one for free, can't plain about that now can I!?
Item works great, was delivered in a timely manner, the games rock, and the XBOX live service is phenomenal.
Cooler than my previous Elite September 12, 2009

After 2 RRODs, I've decided to get a newer generation of Xbox 360 hardware. Fact is, it runs a lot cooler compared to my "old" Elite console. And Arcade is nice because you will probably not get any older generation version (although by this time, you probably will not get any older generation console at all, but be aware) and price is fair.
Pros:
- Jasper chipset generation: cooler, maybe less susceptible to RROD and other hardware problems.
- Fair price for entry-level console.
Cons:
- Doesn't come with hard drive, reducing ability to have multimedia features like Netflix or trial games.
But it's enough to have fun.
