QUICKBOOKS PRO October 7, 2009 Milo F. Minnis (SEATTLE) This software is extensive. There is more for business then just a person wanting to keep track of their expenses but all the options are nice for reports and printouts.
I am just frustrated with Intuit as they try to suck you into online connections that feel invasive.
Be careful what buttons you push when you are registaring. They are persistant in trying to get you to registar. In fact you do not have a choice. So read everything carefully.
The product is good the company is to agressive.
Easy To Use October 6, 2009 J. Ferguson I am a first time QuickBooks user. I have been using this product for about a week now and so far have had no problems. I did have an Accountant help me set up my business on QuickBooks. That probably cut down a tremenous amount of time on the interview and set up process. It has been easy to navigate so far. It does make it easy to track your money using this product.
helpfull and easy to use October 2, 2009 wii fun (North Carolina USA) I have no business background and found the software easy to use. I did purchase "Quickbooks 2009 for Dummies" however.
Meets expectations October 2, 2009 R. Lechner (Penna, USA) I started off with intuit's free dowmload version of quickbooks to try it out and liked it. I bought this version during a sale(the first time in my life that email marketing presented me with something I actually wanted). Some the reviews gave me pause but the price was right so I jump in. I had absolutely no issues with installation and it upgraded my existing "free" version file with no problems. The interface is different and things are not in the same places but with some searching you'll find them. I am happy with my purchase and would recommend it.
Stunningly bad interface September 30, 2009 Nom de Plume I'm a professional user experience and interface consultant, and I've just tried using Quickbooks Pro for the first time. I'm a long time Quicken user and figured that QuickBooks would be the best way to organize my small business finances.
Boy was I wrong.
QuickBooks has a stunningly bad user interface. Honestly it's one of the most convoluted and confusing pieces of software I've ever seen, and I've come across some pretty bad stuff in my consulting work.
Does Intuit really expect users to download days, weeks, or months of bank transactions then fuss with each transaction one by one to get them into the QuickBooks register? Crazy. The main user interface is a flow chart? Ridiculous.
This is to say nothing of the fact that each task and process seems to have its own pop-up window, none of which match each other in terms of layout or flow. Confusing to say the least. I could go on and on but I won't bother. Suffice to say this product has the worst executed interface I've seen in a long time, and I do this for a living. For me QB Pro is entirely unusable.
