Worst Wii game we have June 5, 2009 John R. Fuda (San Antonio, TX, USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
We have a little over a dozen Wii games, and this is by far the worst of them all (had it since December 2008). It is absolutely no fun and there is no challenge to it at all. We've have folks ranging from 4 through 40 paly it and they all agree. The song selection seems rather limited too. I was really hoping this would be a family-friendly, easy to store alternative to guitar hero or rock band, but I was wrong. Very, very disappointed! I gave it 1 star for both "fun" and "overall," though it appears I miss clicked and the review form took it as a 2 star for fun.
Mildly interesting but not sufficient to justify paying for the software May 25, 2009 Middlebunny (Jersey City, New Jersey United States) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
This should be freeware or at least available via WiiWare for less than 1000 points. It is really simplistic and Kindergartners would probably really enjoy it. Controls not consistently responsive. I bought this today and am already very bored with it.
extremely disappointed May 18, 2009 radman (USA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
We are a musical family and were looking forward to wii music.
After just a few times using this, my 11 year old is already saying that there isn't much to do. The conducting part is cute but it gets old fast. During the jams, it is hard to hear yourself if you are the harmony. Basically, you work with the beat. You can't change or affect the notes. Everytime you flick your wimote, you get a predetermined note. The bell part is a little like guitar hero..but it confusing and difficult.
After only 3 or 4 times with this, my kids don't want to use it anymore...
money wasted..
sorry..
Wii music from a musicians perspective May 18, 2009 C. Dickerson (Wheatfield, In) 5 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was really excited about this game, especially because I am a musician who has been playing the saxophone for more than 10 years. I thought this game would be really fun and it would be fun to be able to play all these different instruments.
But when I got the game I was really, really disappointed. The games available get really boring really quick. You start off playing songs like twinkle, twinkle little star and ode to joy and songs like that and it takes forever to open up any decent songs. This game would be great for beginner musicians to be able to learn rhythm, tone and what different instruments sound like, but it is really boring if you have played an instrument for a while. I would probably say this game is good for kids from 5 to 13. This game is a no brainer and doesn't take much thought to play it.
