Fun for 6 Year Old and Parent October 3, 2009 Todd (Gaithersburg, MD) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I wanted a game that was appropriate for my son's age - not too much violence and not too difficult for him to play. I also wanted something that he would enjoy, but wouldn't be so young that I couldn't have fun with it as well. Mario Cart has proven to be a good choice. Since buying this game, my son and I have spent at least a few hours playing the game together. It has been fun and some good bonding time. Another thing I like is that young kids don't have to swing the control around like in other games. My son has one friend, age 5, who almost threw one of the Wii remote controls straight through our flat screen tv while playing a different game. Operating the steering wheel still allows kids to move around some without my wife and I worrying about what might get broken. Up to four people can play at the same time. This game only comes with one steering wheel. If more people are going to play, you will need to buy a steering wheel for each player. There is enough variety in this game, characters, car choices and different race tracks with increasing difficulty, where you should have fun for quite some time. I highly recommend this game for younger children and for mom & dad!
Everything it's cracked up to be October 2, 2009 Mike Rackham 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Great game. Normal modes are challenging enough to keep you entertained while you try to unlock everything, and online mode is quite the experience. I love that you can link up online with friends and play only against them. The wheel is neat, but somewhat hard to get used to at first. Glad I have it though.

My 4 and 7 years love this game, but they rarely use the wheel. I would recommend the game, but skip the wheel.
Driving with due care and fun! September 25, 2009 D. Clark (Coventry England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Forget the TV just turn on your Wii! Great fun, first thing everyone wants to do when they call...drive with Mario!
If you love the Wii, you will LOVE Mario Kart Wii September 16, 2009 Mooshu (Virginia, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I must admit that I am not one for racing games or Mario for that matter, but Mario Kart Wii is incredible fun! It is even better with a wheel. I love video games (trust me, I love a good game of Left 4 Dead!), but I get tired of mean spirited competition. Mario Kart brings out the silliness in everyone. My husband and I have a great time playing Mario Kart together or taking turns with races to unlock more things. So, if you have kids, I am sure it will be a winner; however in cases like mine, for just adults, it will bring out the excited kid in you!
