4 out of 5 stars Wii Fit - great exercise for me   September 29, 2009
Cheryl Fontaine (Seattle, WA)
Since receiving this game, I have exercised pretty much every day. I have always hated to exercise - it is boring and I hate to have to drive somewhere and then walk or run in the rain and cold. With Wii, I can exercise right at home, at any time of the day. I do all the exercises, but especially like the yoga and aerobics.

If I had any complaint at all (and the reason for only four stars instead of five) is that the "trainer" says the same things during and after every exercise and I feel with all the incredible work that went into this magical machine, the least they could do was recognize that I know now how to "weigh other things," etc.

All in all, I am very happy with Wii Fit. It took a complete non-exerciser (me), turned me into a mii that exercises regularly, wears a size smaller pant, sleeps better and has more energy. Thank you.

3 out of 5 stars Wait for Wii Fit Plus   September 27, 2009

I like that this game tracks your balance, flexibility, etc., however it's cumbersome to play. First of all, you can choose if you repeat an exercise. There are no pre-programmed workouts. There isn't an evaluation to determine your current fitness level (strength and endurance) so you start on the lowest level and have to keep repeating the exercise for it to unlock more reps. You stop between each exercise to choose your next exercise, so it's not a fluid workout and takes up so much more time. For example, I was playing the Wii Fit game for over an hour but only "worked out" for 32 minutes. I love that this game has yoga, but once again, it's not a fluid workout like yoga should be.

In summary, I believe a lot of these complaints have been addressed in Wii Fit Plus, so I recommend waiting for it to come out October 4.

5 out of 5 stars Wii Fit is my best friend right now   September 27, 2009

We purchased the Wii Sport game last Christmas , that's when it finally became available to the general public in my little town..... We never made time to use the video game until recently and all of a sudden we can't get enough.... I feel my muscles burning playing baseball and boxing.... Okay this is too fun , now I want more action, the adrenalin is pumping .... A couple of weeks ago we purchased the Wii Fit and our balance is improving and our chubby rolls around the mid section are disappearing .... This is awesome and I highly recommend for anyone who is able to work with the video 30 minutes a day ! Great fun and a real challenge that's sure to please once you realize The Wii Fit is an excellent tool for improving health and fitness ~

3 out of 5 stars Fun to play Easy to get started   September 25, 2009

I enjoyed the WII Fit with balance board as my first WII purchase. It was easy to set up and get started. There is so much diversity in the activities, you will never get bored. The Boxing and Hula Hoop are great fun. I did find the trainer explanations after each exercise a bit long. The Body test incorporated in the game was very helpful to automatically measure progress. In my opinion, this would not be the best choice for a serious exerciser. I would highly suggest to someone for a beginning workout or just to enjoy the games to get moving.

4 out of 5 stars The family loves it   September 25, 2009

I had been searching for this for a while. Thank God that Amazon had it. It helps me stay in shape for Army PT tests. It helped the wife lose some weight. And the kids love the balance board. They think they're surfing while working out. We'll keep this around for a long time!
