PL5 September 22, 2009 When I got this game I didn't think it would be a lot of fun, but it turned out to be one of my favorite games and itstill is even though I have beat the whole thing. this game is a really fun game if you are ;looking for a game that has mysteries and lots of places where the game takes unexpected turns. A couple of times I thought I had figured it out and I was wrong a couple of things are really oviouse like that Chemely is bad and stuff like that but for the most part it is a game where you can't figure it out until the very end. Plus it has really good mini entertainment clips and movies for you to watch and the ending is good. You also have the option to play extra puzzles if you want to by going to extras but you have to unlock tham. The game is challenging and there are parts where you have to solve a certain amount of puzzls to move on. if you like this game and think youcould scratch together 30$ for the second one you should if you did'nt know there was a second one until you read this review I don't think you have gotten on the internet for the past five years!
Professor Layton and the curious village September 19, 2009 K. Dewald (Hoquiam, WA United States) This game really challenges the mind and keeps you thinking outside of your comfort zone. Which if you like brain challenges you will love this game.
Just like reading a 'GOOD' book September 17, 2009 Brian Ponshock (Antigo, WI USA) I have many games for the DS, but Professor Layton & the Curious Village is my favorite. Finally, a game that I can really get into. The puzzles are challenging, but not so difficult as to make you give up on them. The storyline is teriffic! I've solved the mystery of St. Mystere, but am still able to go back & finish any puzzles I missed or passed up.
I have to admit I was a bit sad when I finished. It's like reading a good book, you hate for this game to end!
Now, if you'll excuse me. It's time to move on to The Diabolical Box.
Maybe for youngsters September 12, 2009 S. Vargas (FL) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love puzzles and games that really make me think, but this game wasn't what I expected. Everytime you start the game you have to wait for a summary of what has happend in the game ( this really ticks me off ) I want to go directly to the game. Maybe the game was aimed for youngsters, but I gave it to my son (he's 10) and he got bored quickly. But I must add that the game has some nice puzzles. I have Brain Age which for me its a very fun game. I'm not happy about this purchase.
Addictive!! September 10, 2009 Lorriger rogerson (WAshington, usa) I play a lot of gameboy games. I'm a parent, so in bed is the only time I get to game anymore. I've traditionally been a fan of the Mario and Zelda games. This game is SOOO addictive!! I got it three days ago, and i'm getting behind on my college homework because I'm addicted. I can start playing it, and look up - before you know it a few hours have passed. I was up all night playing this. I've already solved 86/130 puzzles. I am afraid I'm so addicted i might buy the other professor layton games!! eek!!! fun fun fun though!
