I looked into buying this remote because I recently started using my PS3 as a blue-ray player. It works perfectly, just as I expected. It was very easy to sync with the PS3. Batteries are included. Really a great deal, you won't be disappointed.

Pretty good remote. The reason of why I bought this remote is because my wife does not like/know how to use the PS 3 controller at all. So in order to play movies she needed the "regular" thing.
Works pretty well, love that is bluetooth, so you dont have to point the PS in order to get it to work.
I'm giving it 4 stars because if you are comfortable with the regular PS3 controller, it's not necessary, however if you want to have a "regular" remote to play movies, this is the way to go.

Don't view a Blu-ray disc on your PS3 without this. It allows the fullest experience with the BD and as a general DVD remote, works quite well. With this remote at $20 trying to control a DVD with the game controller is nuts!

I was a little dissapointed in this remote. half of the buttons don't work half of the time while i'm watching a bluray. The stop, pause, skip scene buttons and fast forward buttons only work at specific times. Its very aggravating trying to press the stop, play, or fast forward buttons and have them not do anything half of the time.
