Easily hooks up. I'm using it with skype & works just fine. It does freeze up the picture sometimes, but if you just turn video off, & back on, it seems to come back fine. This may be an issue with skype? Have not used in any other way yet. 2 people I speak with have the next model up & they have same issues. They are also pleased with product overall.

This has a much better image quality than a built-in webcam. Another nice feature of the webcam is its stand, it can be placed on a desk or if you want to put it on a monitor you can have it pointed at any angle. You can basically put it on anything that has a ledge, i actually have it on the back of a laptop stand. The instructions aren't clear on all the features of the webcam, if the image is blurry or out of focus the black area around the lens turns for focal length adjustments. I recommend opening the webcam and turning it back and forth until the image is clear. Also there are ways to change the top button on the webcam a quick google search brings up a couple different options. To sum up this webcam has many features that are often overlooked until you get the webcam like the stand ant the fact that it can rotate the camera anyway you want.

GREAT PRODUCT. EASY TO INSTALL AND A WONDERFUL WAY TO COMMUNICATE WITH YOUR LOVED ONES. HAVING A DAUGHTER WHO JUST ENTERED COLLEGE MAKES IT LESS PAINFUL BY BEING ABLE TO TALK TO HER AND SEE HER, MAKES THE PURCHASE ALL WORTH WHILE.

I used it once, went on vacation, came back and it never worked....the sound works but the camera is broken. also, the sound has a little buzzing noise.

This Webcam doesn't really do high quality, but for the price, it works. I have had some trouble with it working with Google Video Chat - sometimes it freezes my computer.
