This camera is easy to operate even for an old guy. There are not a lot of buttons. That makes me happy. I use it with a Mac. It downloads easily. I am able to post videos on You Tube. I am able to email short videos. I haven't tried to edit anything, so I cannot comment on that. The video & sound quality is pretty darn good.

If your looking to take wedding movies, buy something else. If you want a fun, easy to use camera, this is you baby. My 11 year old son uses it often and can download it himself. We had a problem with the first one and Amazon exchanged it very fast. No problems with the second one.

I've been using this camera for a few months and have noticed one major problem. All of the video it takes is somewhat zoomed in. Even if you use the controls to zoom all the way out, the video appears to be zoomed in. In other words, it's the opposite of a wide angle lens.
This is terrible when shooting in close quarters. I use the camera for taking video of house tours and it makes every room seem so much smaller than video taken with another camera or photos taken with another camera. You get so much less stuff in the shot and have to try to back up all the way into the corner of the room to get even a decent shot of the room.
If you want to see what it's like, take your digital camera, zoom to 3x, and see what it looks like. Understand that that's the furthest you can pan out with the Flip.

We bought this as a birthday gift for my 11 year old. Awesome. His big brother (15) and friends use it all the time also. It's a great first web camera.

After reading many reviews, we bought the Flip for our son for his 8th birthday. Within minutes of opening the box, he had the batteries in, the camera on, and was recording his sister dancing. He figured everything out on his own. We have a MAC and it's completely compatible with imovie/iphoto. According to my son, "It's really easy to use the camera and it plugs right into the computer. It's a great size and easy to hold. I love it!"
