I received this camera for Christmas and experienced problems right off. The first test videos were jerky when played back on two different computers. I thought I had a defective product and since customer support at Flip Video was non existent I shipped it back to Amazon, who by the way were most helpful and always have been when I had problems or needed to exchange something.
I received the new recorder and it has the same problem. The product is unusable for me and Flip Video doesn't seem to care. I keep asking for help in solving the problem but they have stopped communicating with me. I give up and I would not recommend this product to anyone if the company is not going to take care of their customers any better than this.

I bought one of these the day the MinoHD came out on November 13, 2008 directly from Flip. (I had a Mino and sold it for the MinoHD) I use it a couple of times a month except for a couple of times a year when I take it on a trip. It was great for about none months but I was using it to take a 2o minute video of a speaker at a Rotary meeting and then a few weeks later it died. premature death at 12 months. I contacted theflip by email and they responded that the 90 day warranty has expired but they explained they would help me use the reset button. I reset it and tried to reuse it but no luck. The charger light works and there is not a dent in it and never dropped. Just died. I realize it is only a $200 (the $240 purchase) but they should have some way to pay to have someone who knows the tricks fix these. So beware.

Very good quality video - very small and very convenient. So far its the best I have seen and the softwae is great. Amazon is a great organization to deal with. So far - - - not one problem.

When I bought this flip mino, 60 minutes 13 months ago, I was skeptical about the negative reviews because there were so few and the positives seemed to greatly outweigh the negatives. Well, I wish I had payed more attention because it completely stopped working and THE most inopportune time that I could imagine.
I used over the course of 13 months it to take exactly 372 SHORT videos, mostly of my infant daughter. It was working fine this Christmas morning which also happened to be her FIRST birthday, then it inconveniently died just before cake time. The camera was fully charged and was not dropped, thrown, nor did it get wet. It just completely stopped powering on. The reset options offered by Flips webist did not work at all and I have yet to hear back from Flip as to how to remedy this problem. I emailed them a couple of days ago. What really got me was that when I emailed they have a drop down menu of options for what you may be emailing about, ie: "how to upload video on my computer", "how to email video" and one option was "my camera will not power on". This leads me to believe that this is a common problem and that they are well aware of it. Unfortunately they still keep the camera on the market without fixing the apparent problem. Their website Q&A is of no help and so far email responses have been the same.
Please do yourself a favor and get a better quality camera so this doesn't happen to you.

After we bought it in 3 months, we had the following problems:
1. it shut off by it itself, at first we thought it is out of the batteries. It is not. And we lose all the videos we took and stored in it
2. the recording time it allowed gets shorter and shorter
3. when you contact the support group, it tells you to turn it on and off 8 times (lol), of course it does not work
After bought it in 6 months, the screen is not working anymore. Now it is a piece of junk.
