Hi all,
This picked up more channels than my RCA converter box, but the timer is not to be relied on. So far it mainly will only make one programmed channel change and ignores the ones that come afterward. I guess this is better than nothing, but it's supposed to be able to handle up to eight programmed events. I don't find the remote particularly cheaply constructed. So, don't buy it for the timer. Oh, I live in a stucco construction building and keep my indoor antenna near a window. It's not a special dtv antenna, I bought it many years ago.

Installed the box to the television, attached an antenna and let it scan for channels. Not so bad, fairly straightforward. Good reception and video quality.

I'm still deciding about this unit. Initially, this product worked great, I was able to pick up channels that I had not before with a Zenith model. Now, unfortunately, I seem to be losing channels daily. The weather in my area has been rainy and windy so I am hoping that is the largest contributing factor, though that is not necessarily good news, it would at least mean the problem is not with the converter box. Set up could not have been easier and the picture quality, when not pixilated is great. The remote functions well, it's buttons and functions, with rare exception, react with the first press. The description feature leaves much to be desired, especially compared to the Zenith but I'll take the added channels, if I can get them back. It would be nice if there were more program information and if you could see other channel programming without having to change the channel. I like the power on feature as I can synch it with my television timer and get my morning news without pressing lots or buttons or looking for remotes. I do wish it had a longer power cord, the last thing I want is another extension cord to have to deal with. However, I am still deciding if I really like this unit or if I have wasted my time and coupon.

Not bad for a free analog to digital converter, but I like the one i bought for $20 after coupon a lot more. So if you don't have cable and you have cement or brick walls i wouldn't reccomend this, but if you live somewhere close to the transmitters, i'd say this would work just fine.
