Zenwell ZAT970a review October 20, 2009 Nathaniel W. Mwangi (Allen, Tx) Got the Zinwell converter in 3 days, works really good, very sensitive tuner that pulls signals perfectly. I had two other converters, RCA and Access HD but this one beats them all. Only problem is that I can't receive channel 13. The picture quilty is superb but alittle bit white washed. Remote could be better, since buttons are small and you can't use it on your tv. Best converter so far.
Expected more channels October 19, 2009 Iris Hardman I can't tell if its the box or the antenna I had to purchase separately, but I only get three channels. I expected more channels.

The digital converter box was delivered on time. It was easy to set up. Within minutes I was watching television. The picture quality is good. I especially like the on screen signal strength dialog box.
Zinwell ZAT-970A Digital to Analog TV Converter Box Review October 18, 2009 R. A. Beaumier 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The main reason I purchased this Converter was that it was one of the few that still allowed the use of a government coupon that had at least moderate reviews for it. Seems like after the switch to digital TV very very few converters remain available. This is a very small converter with a plastic case which does not seem like it would be very durable. The remote also made of a very light plastic. Instructions were good for a basic setup through my VCR/DVD combo player. Setup seemed pretty easy. It pulled in almost as many stations as my Zenith converter. Video quality seemed pretty decent. Just worried about how long this unit will hold up compared to the earlier more robust converters that were available. Definitely a step below my Zenith converter but it appears the Zenith converters are no longer available.
Clock problem has not been fixed October 16, 2009 Timothy B. Daniel (Iowa Park, TX USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The unit is ok, but since the clock doesn't keep the correct time as discussed in other reviews, the timer function can be unreliable. In my research, I found a claim that the clock problem had been fixed. However, it has not. The timer on mine seems to wander all over the place. I have even seen it change times while I was watching. Sometimes it is right on, and sometimes it has been over an hour behind. Since the timer function was the main reason I chose this converter, I am pretty disappointed. However, if I set the timer to come on about an hour and a half before a show starts that I want to record, then I have been able to successfully record with the timer setting. I guess there are ways around most every problem.
The picture is the best attribute. I have two other converters and the ZAT is noticeably better than them.
I've read that the remote is a negative for some, but I have not had any problems with it.
