Purchased to use with a laptop - works great and takes up minimal space. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs to increase USB ports.

This USB port is not bad, it is a little slow sometimes, but it means less cluttered cords and more ports. Can't say I have used better, would buy this brand again.

I would prefer:
1) a pigtail of 12 inches.
2) a form factor with all ports on one side.

For an inexpensive little hub it does the job.
I do agree with B'mbay Monkey...not a great hub if you have an external hard drive. My transfer speeds went way down.
Goof for little things that don't need a powered hub.

This is small and inexpensive. Works great for those items you have which can operate on USB power and don't need an external boost. The only thing I've had as issue with is using it with big speakers and my mic/headset. Other than that, it works great. Great for travel. Plug it into my Macbook and it works great with a mouse, very small speakers, iPod dock, etc. Unless you have something really big, it should work for you.
