I dont know much about USB hubs but knew I needed one. Bought this because it was cheap and had many good reviews. It was ultra easy to set up (literally just plugging everything in) and I have been very happy.
Only reason I knocked on star off is because its very akward to place. The wire to the hub from the computer is short so it needs to be near it. Thus this can be akward on a desktop when you have your laptop hooked up to it.
Good value.

I use this Belkin USB hub to hook up a printer and hard drive to my Apple Airport Extreme wireless router. It is very simple to use...just plug it in and you're set. This would also be very handy to throw in a laptop bag to have on the go.

A reliable little gadget, with 4 USB ports, and works flawlessly even when all 4 ports are occupied, without any need for separate power supply (some other hubs do need this). An LED displays that it is connected to the computer's USB port and the computer is turned on; however there are no LED indicators to verify that devices plugged into the hub are indeed connected (not a big deal). I am transferring a lot of cooking information to thumb drives for my grandson. This little Belkin Mini Hub is exactly what I needed to help me sort the information into the proper categories and onto different thumb drives.
I recommend this device to anyone who needs an easy way to sort a lot of subjects for easy reference in the future.

First, let me start by saying that the seller Vertex is impeccable! They made sure to respond to my emails within hours to address my concerns and it shipped the day I ordered it and arrived 2 days later. Now, the product itself was perfect and just what I needed. I did not have to install anything. Pull it out of the packaging, plug it in, plug in the other devices and there you have it. I may need to purchase 2 more so I will make sure to get them from here as the price is competative and the seller is stallar. Do not hesitate, get this one if you are looking for a reasonably priced, super compact hub. The cord was short but i wasnt walking around with 4 devices attached to my netbook so they can fall too so ignore if people complain about that. How much walking are you doing with things attached to your computer. This product is worth every penny and I am more than happy.
