Quality 2GB Laptop DIMM October 21, 2009 K. Milam (Vienna, Austria) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Works as advertised. I popped this DIMM into my new Acer Aspire 1410 a couple of weeks ago and it worked from the start. I've had no problems with it, since.
Does the Job October 20, 2009 T. Shows (West Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I installed this ddr2 memory into my asus 1005ha, and what else can I say except, it does the job. 2gb is fine for Windows 7, and it basically allows you to have more windows and programs up at one time w/o getting that BSOD (blue screen of death) due to no memory. The amount of free memory on Windows 7, when nothing major is running and you are just on the desktop, varies between 900-1200mb (Again..This is plenty). How easy it is to install all depends on the type of computer you have, but most laptops just have a door on the underside of them that can be opened with a screw driver. It is like this on the 1005ha. As for speed, memory really doesn't have that much to do with speed (memory = storage) unless it begins to run low. With battery life, I really don't think it effects the battery much at all. Therefore, if you want to feel safe with Windows 7 on your EeePC netbook, go ahead and update to 2gb. Otherwise, if you using XP, there is no need.
It's magically working October 20, 2009 Floobity BlahBlla It works...but sometimes not. I had bought this module for an ASUS 1005HA and when I installed it, after I had done the initial start up and had shut down the netbook,it failed to recognize anymore than 0.99gb of ram. After doing a bunch of things like restarting, removing the battery, and trying to refresh the system....I got help from my friend. He told me to check the bios and so I turned the thing on and jammed on F2 till the screen came up...and lo and behold it recognized the 2gig module. Then, without doing anything other than look at the general screen to see that it's recognizing all 2gb, we continued on and loaded windows. And when we checked the system properties, it magically recognized it. So, I guess if anyone gets the 2gb of ram for an ASUS 1005HA, then I would recommend installing the ram first, before even turning the thing on.

When I purchased my Asus eee PC 1008HA, Amazon showed that customers who bought that particular netbook also bought this additional RAM memory. Don't - big mistake.
At first I couldn't figure out how to open the PC case. Finally I found a demo/instruction on YouTube;, however, you practically have to disassemble the PC to install the memory card.
My advice, the PC is plenty fast as is for its intended use -- don't risk tearing it up by installing the extra memory.
Asus Netbook won't recognize additional memory October 17, 2009 T. Franklin (Chatham, NJ) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
While the Asus Netbook works fine, it will still only recognize 1 MG of the ram, rather than the 2. There is a customer service nuber for Crucial, but they are impossible to reach and I got tired of sitting on hold. The memory was easy to install, but what's the point??
