At first, I have read a lot of different reviews regarding the FM Transmitter until I came upon this iTrip transmitter... I have trusted the reviews and bought it. This product is excellent and worth every penny.
It works, The sound is fantastic, No complaints!
Stop wasting your time, and buy this product!
Not bad at all October 5, 2006 M.D.8 (New Brunswick, NJ) 6 out of 6 found this review helpful
As others have said - it works great at certain frequencies. It is simply dismal at others. One things i did not gather while reading other people's reviews was that it CANNOT work outside of your car. I say this because if you are someone that wants to use your iPod on a home radio/ at work / or in the operating room/ whatever you CANNOT with this device. You need to plug it into the car charger for it to emit a frequency. But that being said, if you just want it for your car - it not only works, but charges your iPod.
Works excellently September 20, 2006 obenation 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I used to have the standalone iTrip (without the charger) - this works even better. I use 87.9fm as my frequency and despite living in San Francisco and commuting around the North Bay a lot, I get almost no interference whatsoever. I used to get a lot more interference with the standalone. Couldn't be happier with this.
Very Disappointed !!! September 15, 2006 A. Warren (LBI, NJ) 10 out of 10 found this review helpful
The transmitter must be too weak for a Nissan Altima. It was like listening to a radio station that your having problems getting a signal from. Very rarely did I get clear sound. Always a hiss. AND everytime somebody touched the wire I got a loud crackling sound. I have a XM set-up that uses a FM transmitter and I was expecting similar quality. Nope.... It is now in it's box on it's way back to Amazon.
Works best if you know how to use it. August 29, 2006 I. Patel (Massachusetts, USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This product works properly, given that the proper radio station is selected, preferably below 89MHz. In downtown city driving (both in NYC and Boston), there is little to no other noise. In the case there is some, simply change the chanel and it works properly. It does lack the CD quality sound, but that's not a con as you are pushing the signal through your FM radio. The DX/LX mode is best feature, so you can pick between high quality or stereo sound. Simple, small, and efficient, this is arguably the best FM transmitter for the iPod.
